Day Wise Itinerary –
Day 1 – Guwahati – Shillong
Your trip to Cherrapunji starts with your arrival in Guwahati. Our tour representative will meet you at the Guwahati Airport or railway station & proceed for Shillong. Shillong is the capital and hill station of Meghalaya, also known as Abode of Cloud, one of the smallest states in India. En route visit Barapani lake. By afternoon reach at Shillong. Check in to the hotel. Evening is leisure. Spent time as you want. Visit Police bazar. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 2 – Cherrapunji Local Sightseeing
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Garden of Caves and explore its limestone caves and caverns. Explore Seven Sister Falls, a group of seven waterfalls cascading down the cliffs. Visit , Arwah Cave, Nohkalikai Falls, one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India. Explore Mawsmai Caves, known for their natural limestone formations. Return to the hotel in Cherrapunji. Day 3 : Trek to Double-Decker Bridge
Wake up and have breakfast. Later head out for the trek to The UNESCO world heritage sight, the Architectural Marvel: Double Decker living routes bridge. Later Trek to the Rainbow falls, if time permits. Return to Cherrapunji by evening. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.
Day 4 : Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
Today after your breakfast at the resort, head off to Mawlynnong Village which prides itself to be the cleanest village in Asia. The cleanliness that this small village depicts is just commendable and inspiring. Trek to the oldest natural Root Bridge and give an adventurous touch to your trip. Visit – Balancing rock & Sunrise View point Enjoy the SkyWalk, which is 85 ft bamboo structure and gives a panoramic view of not only the village but also of Bangladesh plains.
Next head towards Dawki, which lies on the banks of the Umngot river. Enjoy a beautiful boat ride in its crystal clear water amidst nature’s gorgeous creation and feel its essence and Back to shillong. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 – Shillong Local Sightseeing & Sacred Forest Day Trip
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the iconic Elephant Falls a three-tiered waterfall near Shillong & visit Laitlum Canyon
. Explore the Sacred Forest and learn about its significance in Khasi culture. Visit the Lady Hydri Park, Wards Lake & Don Bosco Museum. Explore the local market and enjoy shopping for handicrafts and souvenirs. Dinner and overnight stay in Shillong
Day 6 – Shillong – Kaziranga
Breakfast at hotel and move towards Kaziranga.A beautiful and a decent place to stay known as one of the best hotel in North East .If time allows can move out for a small sightseeing. Over night at the hotel.
Day 7 – Kaziranga
Trip to Rhino land Kaziranga. (Elephant & Jeep Safari) Early morning wake call to move out for Elephant Ride , 1st ride at 05.30hr to 06.30hr/2nd ride at 06.30hr to 07.30hr) You can select any option as per your convenient. After breakfast you can move out for Jeep safari, this is a very exciting trip with full of adventures and surprises. As there are four ranges to cover with Jeep safari so you will have to go for 2 trip of Jeep safari per day. One (Kohora Range) after breakfast another (Agaratoli Range) after lunch. In the evening can move out for local Tribal Villages & Tea Gardens. Overnight at Kaziranga.
Day 8 – Kaziranga – Guwahati
Breakfast at hotel and drive to Guwahati, Check in at hotel Later visit – Kamakhya Temple and Umananda Temple that happens to be the most famous religious sites
Optional – Sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River
Day 9 – Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be dropped at the airport railway station from where you will make your way back home
