Trekking at an altitude of 10,800 to 11,100 ft is never easy.🤨

 

Therefore, it is now mandatory for every tourist who comes for Chadar Trek to acclimatise to the environment before they begin the trek. It is essential that a person is physically and medically fit before starting this tough and adventurous trek. All tour operators are advised to get their tourists medically examined at SNM Hospital Leh between 2:00 to 3:00 PM on the second day after arrival of the tourists.

A wildlife/environment protection fee is charged by the government from all trekkers of The Chadar Trek as it is a part of an ecologically sensitive area. The government levies an additional charge of approximately Rs. 300 per person for ALTOA, Rs. 250 for protection of wildlife and Rs. 2000 for protection of environment.

 

 

Chadar trek is a once in a lifetime opportunity which if you can, you should not miss. This trek may be the hardest one in India but it is a dream to achieve for all the hikers.
