For someone seeking to spend weekend with nature, Nag Tibba serves as fitting trekking destination, nestled in Garhwal Himalayas. It is an apt location away from hustle and bustle of fast-paced city lives. Nag Tibba, which is located at an altitude of 3022 metres above sea level, is the highest peak in lower Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Owing to that, Nag Tibba peak provides brilliant panoramic views of some of the highest peaks of Utaarakhand region. On a clear day, one can see Mt Nanda Devi, Mt Trishul, Mt DKD II, Bandarpunch range and many more.

DAY 1: DEHRADUN - PANTWARI - NAG TEMPLE

DEHRADUN TO PANTWARI BY SHARED CABS (99 KMS/ 3 HRS) AND TREK FROM PANTWARI TO NAG TEMPLE (7 KMS)
We arrange pickup from Dehradun railway station at 6:30 AM. Post pickup, we move in shared cabs towards Pantwari, which is starting point of the trek. Journey takes around 3-4 hours.
 We take a brief halt for refreshments at Nainbagh, which is 15 kms from Pantwari. We reach Pantwari by 10:30 AM.
 After trek lead provides a short briefing and introduction, we start trek by 11 AM. It is a gradual incline of 7 kms till Nag Temple campsite, which takes 4 hours approximately. Initial section of 2 kms provide open views and trail moves along the ridge. Along the way, we pass by small village huts. There is a water source at mid-point of the trek, just before we enter the forest area.
 Post that, we enter forest of Rhododendron trees. It is well marked trail that takes us to Nag Temple. One can also find rare species of mushrooms and some herbs especially during post monsoon season. There is a forest hut too besides the temple.

DAY 2: NAG TIBBA TOP - PANTWARI - DEHRADUN

11 KMS TREK NAG TEMPLE- NAG TIBBA TOP – PANTWARI (6-7 HOURS) AND DRIVE FROM PANTWARI TO DEHRADUN (3 HOURS)
 Day starts with morning tea at 6:30 AM. Post that, if weather permits, our trek lead conducts a yoga/stretching session.
 We will start the trek towards Nag Peak by 8 AM. Since we come back to same campsite by afternoon, we leave our rucksacks at the campsite. Instead, we carry small daypacks to carry some essentials like lunch, water bottle, raincoat etc. It is a total of 2 hours trek until the top, which takes around 1.5 hours. This day too, trail moves through forest. Although, it is a bit steep compared to previous day.
 On a clear day, Nag Tibba top provides panoramic views of some of the higher peaks of Uttarakhand region like Mt. Nanda Devi, Mt. Trishul, Mt Gangotri and many more.
 After spending an hour at the top, we head back to Nag Temple campsite.
 After taking rucksacks, we start return journey towards Pantwari using same route as on previous day. We plan to reach Pantwari by 5 PM. After that, we move in shared cabs towards Dehradun. We plan to reach Dehradun by maximum 9 PM, which marks the end of this 2-days journey

IN ADDITION, IF YOU REACH LATE AT DEHRADUN ON DAY 1, I.E. BEYOND THE 1-HOUR BUFFER TIME, YOU WILL HAVE TO REACH BASE ON YOUR OWN EXPENSES. HOWEVER WE WILL ASSIST YOU FULLY IN BOOKING OF CABS
