JAISALMER & LONGEWALA VALLEY PACKING GUIDE 2020
We always recommend our travelers to carry a light rucksack and a simple backpack to be able to travel and move around hassle free during the trip. We would recommend for you to carry the following as per your own discretion:
Medicines:
Medicines for headache, fever, stomach ache, cold and cough syrup and motion sickness may be required by you too.
Also carry any other medicines, specific to your health conditions.
Clothes:
The temperatures during the day are set to soar higher. To keep yourself comfortable, make sure you have loose fitting clothes with you that allow your skin to breathe.
Carry flips flops or open sandals to keep your feet cool and relaxed. A pair of sports shoes is highly recommended as well.
Wear full sleeved clothes, shirt or tops to cover your hands and arms and protect them from sunburn.
Nights are relatively much cooler so make sure you carry adequate woolens(including sweater, caps) and jackets. If you’re someone who feels colder than others, carrying thermals isn’t a bad idea at all as well.
Tip: Comfortable lowers will make your journey a lot better.
Gadgets:
Spare camera batteries: Carry at least one spare set of batteries required by your camera since.
Battery power bank: If you are an avid smartphone user and planning to log your route on your favorite GPS App, then make sure you are carrying a power bank with at least 10000 mAH capacity to keep your mobile phone running throughout the day.

Dry fruits provide instant energy and easy snack and don’t take up too much space.
Shopping
Just a heads up, be cautious while dealing with other vendors at any destinations.
Street Shopping is about colorful trinkets, leather goods, spices and even royal jewelry; which makes it one of the best things to do in Rajasthan. The state has made the world go gaga over its artistry, along with its splendid monuments that speak of a legendary past. In case you are going street shopping ensure that you bargain 30 to 40% of the price. 😉
Bags:
One big rucksack for clothes. A small one for medicines, tuck and other valuables and gadgets and other personal and body care essentials etc. Waist bags can be very useful and handy. (You could find all these at a reasonable price at a Decathlon Store nearby)
ID Cards : Mandatory to carry a Government approved photo ID Address Proof (i.e. Aadhar/Passport/Voter’s ID/DL and not PAN CARD)

From Boarding from Delhi or elsewhere, please be critical to following these as communicated to you by Tripver or by your Trip Captain, as it is the most common and troublesome issue for the Trip Captain. More so since it’s not fair to those who make it on time. Be nice to your Captain and, he/she will reciprocate to maybe even go overboard the itinerary to cover an additional place or two.
Food: Expect reasonably simple food at the places you’re visiting considering their remoteness.
Money: Withdraw money before your journey. You’ll find a few ATMs Jaisalmer but their functioning is often erratic, so it’s advisable to carry enough cash from Delhi or Gurgaon
Washrooms: During the journey, availability and cleanliness may be an issue although our drivers and Trip Captains try to make the stops as per pre-searched or in some cases the best possible judgment, these are some constraints while traveling offbeat.
Our Trip Captains are core members of the community and are usually fun loving happy go lucky people but are usually not pleasant to travellers who cause inconvenience to mother nature or other travellers during the trip especially under the influence of alcohol. Our community has never faced a situation like this as we have always had amazing open minded travellers, but in case required the Trip Captains would not hesitate and reserve the right to discontinue a traveller’s trip and then further blacklist from Tripver for the above mentioned reason. As we follow this policy strictly we have high credibility and decent reputation especially among solo women and other like minded travellers.
The clothing you choose to pack will have a huge impact on the enjoyability of your travels. That’s why it’s smart to choose your clothing carefully — remember, you’re going to spend much of your time outdoors so pack according to the weather around your travel dates.
Let’s keep our hills clean!
Travelers found or observed using offensive language or behavior with other travelers or any person connected to delivering the Tripver experience, under extreme cases may be terminated from the trip by the Trek Leader and blacklisted from subsequent community trips.
This is a journey of your lifetime, it’s our advice that you enjoy this trip not as a tourist but as a traveler.
Hope this helps! Sit back relax and get ready for a memorable trip and a tryst with nature.
“The Journey not the arrival matters”, finds its true meaning to a trip such as this one !

The itinerary is made keeping in mind the basic structure for your visit and we try our best to meet the timelines. As per our past experiences, there may be a possibility there may be a shift in timings. This may be due to heavy traffic, weather conditions, stamina levels of the travellers or simply because you want to spend the night watching stars and wake up easy at the next day and leave a little later than the mentioned time :). Try your best to follow timelines as it make your travel experience more fun & avoid testing the patience levels of punctual travellers. 😉
